No Fairytale

No Fairytale

The carriage breaks

and there she stands

And she feels the swinging

feels the pushing

feels the beating

from all of her fans.

Shadows recede from the her,

the sun

full of rage

turns its back away.

She feels the pulling of the wind

trying to pull her away.

The rain falls down

every drop hits the ground

She throws her head back to find the strength

And one tiny rain drop

smashes into her chin

crashes into the pores of her skin

and finds its way to a tear duct,

laying dormant until it evaporates.

She closes the book,

and closes her eyes,

and lays one with the concrete

until morning arrives..

This is so sad, so poetically sad and delivered with just the right amount of bluesy coloring. Bravo!

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
