    ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY DAYS

    Six months ago,
    Enduring Freedom began.
they took on the greatest ,
    Nation in the land.

    The terrorist bit off more,
    than they could chew.
    Because of the hatred,
    of a fanatical few.

    The terrorist attacked America,
    the land of the free.
    People of every Nation,
    every nationality.

    They destroyed our buildings,
and left famlies broken and sad.
    Children without mothers,
    and others without dad's.

    America's ridding the world,
    of this horrible blight.
    They can either surrender,
or die in their last fight.

    September 11, 2001
    America was attacked,
    from out of the sun!

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
