    Poem Commentary

    this poem was written for my dad who I feel never believed in me and was so worried about me failing in life that he told me I couldn't achieve much. I feel the opposite. I feel anything is possible and you can achieve whatever you put your mind to. I hope to get that message across in this and in all my poems.

    Out Of My Hands

    Always held me back

    When you were supposed to

    Lift me up

    I feel I could be so much more

    If I had your support

    Every step of the way you told me I couldn't do it

    Whatever I tried you said I wasn't able

    But I've proved you wrong

    Time and again

    Still

    It's like you like to see my discomfort and my pain

    You like to throw a wrench in my plans

    You make me feel like my dreams are

    Out of my hands

    But as much as I get older

    As much as I accomplish

    I hope you'll see how far I've grown

    I hope I'll give you less to abolish

    Sometimes I feel like I love you more than you love me

    Maybe one day you will see

    That I am the best I can be

    And you will love me just for being me

    Life is art, ones perspective is reflected in the images that they choose to capture. Might be wise to look at what motivates you. Pretty good rhyme but doesn't flow when read. Reallygot in my head though. Write on......

    This poem was good. I can relate to it. I feel the same way with my father sometimes. If he believes in me, he doesn't show it.
