Parallel Lives
I walked a long journey
I walked the journey alone.
In the distance I saw
Another from my beloved home.
Living parallel lives
The two never to meet
Choosing the same destiny
Of which never to speak.
I asked how can this be?
Of which there was no answer
From the other of my parallel life.
We walk along this journey
We walk the journey alone.
Empty, confused, rushed
Following the thoughts in our head.
Blinded by the racing frenzie of life.
Never looking around to notice our partners.
Wouldn't feel so lonely
We wouldn't be so tense
If we could only slow down to see our sisters from the past.
My beloved homeland.
In the distance now.
Not so far is my parallel partner.
Though I walk along this journey
I walk the journey...alone.
I walked the journey alone.
In the distance I saw
Another from my beloved home.
Living parallel lives
The two never to meet
Choosing the same destiny
Of which never to speak.
I asked how can this be?
Of which there was no answer
From the other of my parallel life.
We walk along this journey
We walk the journey alone.
Empty, confused, rushed
Following the thoughts in our head.
Blinded by the racing frenzie of life.
Never looking around to notice our partners.
Wouldn't feel so lonely
We wouldn't be so tense
If we could only slow down to see our sisters from the past.
My beloved homeland.
In the distance now.
Not so far is my parallel partner.
Though I walk along this journey
I walk the journey...alone.
