Born in Vandergrift, PA middle child of six, and grew up in the 50s - married at 19 and bore six children. Took a writing course in my early 30s, but quickly learned that you have to experience life to write about it, In the meantime I began writing poetry and submitting it, having received recognition for my work, but never took it any further. Today I am still writing poetry - about things around me - sometimes letting my creative juices go their own way with poems that represent the silent part of me and not always politically correct. I Think this site may be a great way to continue my love of rhyming and express my artistic urges without competing.
