    " Depending On You, Lord

     I want to thank you, Lord
    for waking me up this morning
    And getting me started with my day.
    I sure do need you, in so many ways.

    Help me to take the right paths, as I
    Journey into my endeavors.
    If I should fall short of myself, bare
    with me, cause, I won't be this way forever.

    Help me to understand that who I was, who I am
    And who I want to be, may not be up to me.
    But, who you would have me to be is what I really
    should see.

    You're my beginning, my now and my end
    You are my Forever Loyal and Trusted Friend.

    Oddly enough I like it. I know you probably have not read my stuff but take it from me I didn't expect to like it. I had intended to hear some holy roller rhetoric but I see your honest view. It also doesn't hurt that the poem is well written.

    Hi, Its Ok that You Didn't Expect To Like It At First, When Ever,I post A Poem, I am Not Sure If Everyone Wil Like Them. However; My Intention Tho, Is That Even It A Poem Is Read By Thousands That come To This Site, If Only 1 Person Get Something Positive From It, Or Is Helped In Some Way, That Is Enought For Me! Thank You Very Much For Your Comment. I will Read Some Of Your Poems As Well.

    EXCELLENT WRITE (smile)....I appreciate this write, and might have to add this one as well to my favorites as well....I can so relate with giving our LORD the praise and requesting direction, I'm learning to recognize and live with less control daily.....Thanks for sharing, this most pertinent blessing of praise!

    I wrote this poem a long time ago. I was driving one morning, to an appointment, had to be there. Problem was, I had no idea how to get there. Being in a New town, I had asked at least 3 people how to get to where i was going. They each tryd to help, but directions,led me wrong. I was running late, the whole morning was a disaster! One wrong thing happen after the another. I felt like giving up and going back. At that moment, It was like a voice started Speaking to me from inside, My Spirit. I knew it was the voice of God, It was like He put his around me to Shelter me from all that could attack me any further. He began to speak so softly to me as the many tears were flowing down my face. I said, Thank you, Lord, Thank you, for letting me know that Everything going to be alright. The words to this Poem As I couldn't pull over fast enough, and grab for pen and paper before all the words just Flowed In My Heart. From that moment, Everything, went well. I have been typing, and Giving out My Poem "Depending on You, Lord" to anyone that may need a little Encouragement. Thank you So Much for your Comment. Be Blessed!

    I enjoy reading poems about God. Yours was great! Remember that according to Ephesians 3:20, God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. I can't help but to give God all the glory, honor, and praise for who I am, what I am, and for whose I am. God is still doing a work on/in me, shaping and molding my destiny. He has songwriting, an inspirational business, and an invention in my near future. I receive it in Jesus' name. The ball has already begun to roll, so I just let go and let God. We must believe that God will supply all our needs according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Just make sure you stand on God's Word and He'll make everything alright!
