    Rain Falls

As the rain falls and my heart calls out  to you.

I know that I am alone.

For you have taken flight and gone where the wind blows.

Softly I will call your name, I will crave your touch.

But I know that you will not hear or feel my desire.

For you have found a new place to dwell.

I am left to remember how it was and how it will never be again.

My heart is broken and I am lost.

Just like the rain falls, so have I.

But given time I will rise like a flower in the spring.

Here's to the falling rain, may it wash away the sorrow.

May Peace and Love return with the rising Sun.

This is really beautiful. Even though there is alway sandness when we lose someone, this reminds us that if we allow it, healing will come.

Lovely poem, very emotional and sad, but with a ray of light at the end, with the rain in a sense baptizing you, ridding you of your sadness in time.

Thank You for reading my poem. I have to look for a ray of light in all things. Smiles

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
