    Reflections

    After we make love
And lay there in each others arms
I gaze at our reflections in the mirror
    Admire how beautiful we are
You with your soft brown skin
    Glistening wet in the candlelight
Your arm slipping around my waist
    Gently cupping my breast
The hard outline of your shoulders
    Soft against my own
    Like my shadow
    always there
I follow the outline of you with my eyes
    Down your side
    Over your hips
Where your legs disappear behind my own
Where I begin and you end
    Where we become us
I trace the curve of my own body
Following the outline of my hips
    To my waist
    Disappearing below your arm
    To my breasts
    Still swollen from our lovemaking
And gaze at your hands holding me so perfectly
    Our heads lay in unison
    Sharing the pillow
    The only sound I hear
    Is our breathing
    The only thing I feel
Are our hearts beating as one
    And all I see
    Is you and me
And the beauty of our love
    Surrounds us
    and
    Takes my breath away

Thanks for sharing what's on the other side of passion mountain. Mirrors in the bedroom, hmmmm, a lady who is visual!

Anything that helps us see our real selves is a good thing! Everyone has mirrors in the bedroom, just most people won't admit to looking into them too much.

Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.

Plato (BC 427-BC 347) Greek philosopher.
