REMEMBER ME

Time keeps on ticking on

And my mind dreams of dreams that I want

Not of material things to belong here

I dream of remembrance of a life that’s sought

Not fame for my ears to hear

Nor do I want my eyes to see

I just want to be remembered through the years

By who is left in my family

Remember me…So my life was not in vain

Remember me…Even if you don’t understand

Remember me…Remember me…

The writings written by my pencil in hand

Mark the person I want to be

The people who read it don’t understand

Where I’m coming from inside me

But I don’t mind to be misunderstood

Because my past was confusing to me also

Explaining myself I don’t know if I could

Can you examine to explain yourself?

All I know is life’s happiness is my yardstick

That measures my life’s worth

Remembering me in this life that I didn't pick

Is what I want from people first

Just please remember me long after

I’m gone and turn back into dirt…

Remember me… Remember me…

Please just remember me......

This is sensitive and heart-wrenching. The photograph completes the whole picture, poem included. Wonderful.

that is so true nice one. i can overstand where you are coming from the past life that we had and the one we now live as adults can be very hard but we always try to do things to be remembered

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
