Sad Songs

I listen to sad song after sad song and all the stories are the same. All centered around one thing. Love. This four letter word has so much meaning, so many definitions, some unknown and not understood. Confusion can give way to doubt. The songs whether it be about wanting love, finding love or loosing love, they all make me cry. I listen, wanting to be loved, I keep thinking I've found love and I have definitely lost love. Its never the real thing, but its mascarades like it is. When I listen to old R&B, my heart skips beats,because those sad love songs, you could actually feel the pain that was being sung. What happened to those kinds of sad songs? Where has the love gone? Broken promises of love that was supposed to stay true, we always want it to feel new, but it fades into reality that its not love. Now days, sad songs are more like sad confessions of how they know they have either hurt someone else or knew they were getting hurt and kept dealing with it. Either way, those songs make you feel like, you've been there before or you're going through it at the moment. Gotta love those sad songs!!!
