Save Yourself
Walking in an ally I see the shadows of three,
But it turns out they are all me.
Pain and sorrow shot through my spine
As if I were crushed by a giant pine.
“today is the day” they all say in tune.
Then they form an image of my grandpa’s saloon.
They showed me a video of when I put on my first mask.
I used to think it would be a simple task.
I can see fear in their eyes.
Why do they all look hypnotized?
Don’t you know you can see the soul through the eyes?
My mask is a smile,
But it can only last awhile.
None know of its fake,
But will the truth take the cake?
So in the sea of lies
I’m the one who dies.
Smothered by this mask
my heart just wants to ask.
“Why did I have to be so stupid
Even thou I was only a kid?”
It doesn’t matter what or how.
Just go ahead and through in the towel.
I can not be saved
This street has already been paved.
Wearing masks does not give you glory,
But hey, I’m done this is the end of my story.

It doesn’t matter what or how.
Just go ahead and through in the towel.
I can not be saved
This street has already been paved.
Wearing masks does not give you glory,
But hey, I’m done this is the end of my story.
