Sick

Lighting strikes out like a cold slap to the face
screams and terrors scare me
twisting and turning in sheets
nightmares come faster, hardr twisting inside me
tearing at my thoat with screams
it becomes harder to sleep
I lay awake at night pretending to sleep
fighting demons and losing
soon when dawn comes
battles won, lose, forgotten, mistaking and bloodly
everynight I fight hoping, praying that soon it will be done with

another great poem with really good use of imagery. plenty of depth and substance. Short and sweet. a nice read.

nice visuals...

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.
