    snow globe

sitting in your car, looking and touching
your smile with starbucks coffee by our side
plenty of things to say yet silence took over

Like our relationships rocky road. its a memory i have
of your smile and goodness although somehow i knew we
would never be it was an impossibility.

you were always in love with another gal
I was there trying to find my way..but
back then i was blinded by what you called love.

I took a mental picture of you that night
as snow poured around the car and I saw the softer
side of you. this memory will always remian in my mind
as a snow globe of past experience.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
