    somnambulist

    somnambulist

    I saw him last night
    following dreams down the sidewalk
    hesitating at the cracks
    interrupting sleep patterns
    and brain wave synapses

    he was arrested for loitering
    causing a general disturbance
    and instigating a crime wave
of stolen pajamas and fuzzy slippers

    visiting hours are on Thursdays
    when the guards are sleeping
    and he conjures a nightmare
    for the warden

I had to add this to my favorites! Amazingly well done!

Reminds me of the movie "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari", but with a more modern setting. I wish I could have a more fun outlook on serious matters. My poetry sounds a little serious at times [laugh].

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
