    Soothing words a mother speaks

    A heart shattered
    Shattered into millions
    A scream let out at
    Night
    A mother that holds me
    Tight
    The tears fall down
    It was just a dream
The soothing words a mother speaks
No not a dream a nightmare
    It took so long to
    Stop
    The words a mother speaks
    Soothes the nightmares within me
    It took so long
    Half a dozen
    Years later
    To listen
Listen to the soothing words a mother
    Speaks
    My heart was shattered
    But
    The soothing words a mother
    Speaks
    Picks up the pieces and
    Gives
    Them to me
    Piecing my heart back together
And yet every time it breaks
Or cracks The soothing words a mother
    Speaks fills the
    Cracks
    Within me

Very good, Keep writing. You just might finish a book.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
