Splatter

I always want you near,

With you I have no fear.

I adore you in every way.

No matter what they have to say.

I’ll have feelings until I die,

They rest on the inside.

My heart has a steady beat,

And your rhythm flows around me.

You’re the one I want to keep,

Hold your breath, we’re in knee-deep.

I’ll give you all that I got.

I’ve gave you all I’ve brought.

I have fallen in love with you,

And my heart is about to spew.

I’ll change whatever you wish,

You are all I will ever cherish.

Just let me know you are as well,

And won’t take my heart to sell.

Your are all the will ever matter,

And my love for you will never splatter.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
