    Stupid Girl

NOW I REMEMBER WHY I SAID I'D NEVER DO IT AGAIN,

I REMEMBERED LOVE IS A HORRIBLE BATTLE THAT I COULD NEVER WIN.

I SIT HERE ALONE IN SILENCE, TEARS POURING DOWN MY FACE,

ASHAMED THAT I LET IT GET THIS FAR, THAT I MELTED IN HIS EMBRACE.

MY STOMACH'S TIED UP IN A KNOT, MY LIMBS THEY START TO SHAKE,

THE PAIN WITH IN MAKES ME QUESTION WAS THIS A MISTAKE.

IN DISBELIEF I PONDER, LETTING HIM IN MY WORLD,

I'VE FALLEN AND HIT THE BOTTOM, I'M MERELY A STUPID GIRL.

A lot of folks, globally, have had this feeling. You have expressed your feelings from your heart. You're not stupid, just human. Thank you for sharing, your inner you.

great poem. and you are not stupid, just a hopeless romantic like so amny of us are.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
