    The Beauty of Innocence

    The Beauty of Innocence

Behold the modest beaut of innocence,
Far more gorgeous than the glittering gold
Which even in its purest form induces the desire of men so intense
And possesses the root of corruption in this world so cold.

    The beauty of innocence
I see it in that new beauty born baby
In whose eyes behold transparency in all sense
Louder though silent, than deceitful tongues of many.

Though born into a cold world of sin
Like a jewel placed in a circle of thorns
Left to lay helpless as a hostage ransomed with the pierce of a pin
And a heart stained with flames that darken it as it burns.

Free from the terrible mistakes of the past
That hold one to ransom with guilt so strong
And free from condemnation that ruins so fast
After the thought of actions so wrong.

    The beauty of innocence
I see it in that young virgin
Who has diverted corruption’s bullet that threatened to pierce that strong fence
Only to become her master’s bride without the condemnation of sin.

    So pure, holy and faultless
    Justified enough to bring fort
The Almighty’s only fruit in a way so sinless
To purify thousands of generations left to rot.

    The beauty of innocence
I see ir in this earth’s form millions of years past
Before the arrival of the Homo sapiens
With inventions that ruin so fast.

Before the touch of man’s intelligence
Upon this earth so innocent and faultless
With flowing waters abundant with such innocence
And with trees that bring fort fruits with a yield so endless

Before the corruptness of the value of gold or silver
When food was not a possessed treasure
Though green, left to flourish as a flowing river
Only waiting for bites of satisfaction and pleasure.

    The beauty of innocence
I see it in the eye of that man born blind
Though subjected to darkness but free from pretence
And the brightness of the vanity of the world and mind.

    The beauty of innocence
I see it in that city of immortals
Free from the toil of this world of mortality
And more beautiful and precious than earthly metals.

    Oh! What beauty of beauties
    And innocence so faultless
    All in that promised city
    The New Jerusalem.
