THE CYCLE OF MY LOVE LIFE

    BEFORE I MET YOU

I had lost the key to my heart's box
And it appears that the one I had given the spear had thrown it away
I didn’t bother to look for the master key
because I thought it would be better to leave it lock so nothing could get in and shatter it once again.

    THEN I MET YOU

Somehow when I looked into your gleaming eyes
You said it without uttering a word
    It’s ok

    AFTER I MET YOU

    You constantly haunt my mind
Making it unbearable being so far from you
Save me a kiss when you return I always say

THEN YOU SAID I LOVE YOU

IF loving you means I shall hurt forever
    Then take this knife
I’m ready to take a never ending wound for you
    Never ending indeed

    THEN WE BROKE UP

I took my heart's box under my wings
    With shackles and thorns,
All busted up I told myself
Never Again Will I Allow another
    Never again

    AFTER WE BROKE UP

I''ve never had this much fun
I've never had this much freedom
I've never seen this side the world had to offer
I'll keep my heart's box locked away
    Just in case

I like the way you used all caps at the beginning of each cycle, good poem you wrote there!

This is so creative and it flows really well, I liked it from beginning to end. Give me feed back on the short poem I have on my page and to any one I post. Hope we can be friendly poets in the future. Alterric "Ty"

Wonderful poem, love all the stages and emotions, well done

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
