    The Devil's Playground

    There's something majestic about fire.
The dancing and swaying of the flames.
    A personality all its own.
It takes a special person to fight it.
A person who puts fear behind them, and other lives before their own.
Ready to dance in the devil's playgroundas soon as the alarm sounds.
Fire is danger in more than one way.
    Never knowing what's next.
The firefighter pushes forward through the curves thrown at them.
    Always wondering what's next.
One may go down but the crew pushes on.
they protect and serve but who protects them.
Only God can protect in the devil's playground.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
