The Homeless

The Homeless

Living on the streets
Without a dime
Will slowly make you lose your mind
Empty lives
Days go by
Bitterness
Corruption
Senseless crime
Empty stomachs
Sleepless nights
Cries of the homeless
Without rights
No jobs
Searched all day
Social Services to help the stray
Count your pennies
Catch a bus
Rely on a Government
That we don't trust
The sadness is that we won't win
Only God can help us
Why pretend
