My Rock

My Rock

You are my Rock
That i lean upon
When i was weak
You made me strong
When i fell
You captured me
When i did wrong
You made it right
You were my rock
I was your wife
You never moved
You stayed solid till the end
You were my rock
And also a friend
When nobody cared
You listen to me
When nobody listened
You talked to me
You gave me love
Understanding too
You are my rock
And I love you
When all else failed
My rock was there
This is the life
That we two shared

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
