The Innocent Man
Into this world my Savior camefor all my sins to take the blame,
the only Innocent to ever live
His life, most precious, He did give.
Unto us a child was born
and on His head a crown of thorns,
He came to save a dying race,
for our death, He traded mercy and grace.
Despised and beaten, His flesh they tore
then, on the cross our sins He bore.
How could we have taken THE Innocent Man
and delivered Him into the executioner's hand?
We were the ones who deserved to die,
we are not worthy to be with Him on high!
But thats how much He loves you and me,
He died, from sin to set us free.
So remember His suffering on the cross,
for your transgressions, He paid the cost.
He came in flesh on Earth to trod,
that precious Baby, Son of God,
grew up and lived and knew no sin
and died to save the sons of men!
