A Love To See Us Through

You had me at “Hello”

It sounds cliché I know

But in my case it’s true

I never stood a chance against you.

I fell hard for your charms

And I long so, for your arms

To hold me oh, so tight

And rock me through the night.

Resistance is futile as the saying goes

And how much I love you now, God only knows

You are the light of my life, the center of my world

The only one more precious to me is our Lord.

I need you in my life to bear the daily load

Without you, I struggle to travel down this road

I’m lonely and this hurts, to be without you leaves a hole

I smile to hide the pain that bears down on my soul.

I’m sorry for the times that you cannot help but see

The tears that flow from this pain inside of me

I try so hard to keep it in and for you, to be strong

But sometimes it’s overwhelming, this separation is so wrong!

But I can see our future and the road that lies ahead

I dream of brighter days for us, as I lie awake in bed

I know that God will bless us with the visions that I see

I put my trust in Him to return you home to me.

So hold on to our hope and pray and trust Him too

He will not make me endure a lifetime without you

Nor will He allow you to suffer endlessly away from home and heart

Remember, God knew the ending even before the start

He would not bring us together to let us be torn apart

He gave you unto me and gave me unto you

He gave us both this love and it shall see us through!

This is beautiful as i read this i could your loniness and your faith

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
