The "Wall" The Warrior And The Daughter...

Fifty years almost to the day, in a province so very far away..
You left my world your life you gave.
So that another could stand in this place.

Fifty yards to your name, black stone that shines in the night,
Would that I might take flight, from all that kept you here, locked inside other's fear.

Images, peer from this stone, long winding, are you still here
    Father dear?

This "Wall" of Granite and tales untold draws me ever closer, to some fate. Must I finish where you began? Ending so soon, as our blood ran.

The one who took you his fate not met, and wanders still in blackest hate.
He could not look me in the eye, yes he knew, I knew the lie!
Shaking and shuddering I took his hand, all that had transpired born again in fire.

No tears this time, no grand design, simple, and clean
was I to glean, your life, your lovers and death.
A single drop of rain, cannot replace nor gain, the storm that we both possess.

Distant bells now toll three, wait a moment longer and all shall see,

The "Wall", The Warrior and me.

Heart, sole and spirit all exposed - you share and make those you do not know listen... know that we care. Write on write on

... has flavour of some of the older poems in Romanian that were composed all in quatrain form... (i like much.. OM

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
