The Tunnel
I walk in this deep dark tunnel,
With only a small little light.
This tunnel may be never ending,
And suddenly I’m filled with fright.
This tunnel does not protect me,
From all of the dangers outside.
This tunnel is my life journey,
It must require a keen mind.
We all go through this tunnel,
Some go through it alone.
When we go through life together,
The light has gradually shone.
In life’s journey we stumble,
Over the rocks of this cave.
Some cannot overcome this,
But some are swift like a wave.
The farther you go in this tunnel,
Is the success that rings.
You may finish life in pleasure,
Or die greedily lusting for things.
