THEY WILL PAY

Poem Commentary

I hope they read this and know the hatred in my heart

THEY WILL PAY

14 hours without sleep
I'm starting to wonder how weak i really am
I cry, she cries
They don't really give a damn

What a prison
What a hoax
You have to sink
Before you float

It's hard to swim
With ropes around your ankles
A chain a day
Bound in an eternity of shackles

You did nothing wrong
We continue down our road
Leaving a sarcastic, meaningless I'm sorry in our wake
Forced to bear an unnecesarry load

We drown in tears
But swim to shore
We bleed to death
Because life's a chore

Tomorrow looks so dull
Life for now so grey
We will have our happiness
And they will have to pay

Not bad. I hope they read it too because her family is pretty gay.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
