    Threnody

you captivate me with your blank stare
your fingers like razors upon my skin
where you are, can you take me there
never to return to this place again?

you know what lies beyond this gate
ah yes i think you hold the key
don't try stop it, this is my fate
it is time for death to fall in love with me

wrap your cloak tightly around me
let the darkness hungrily surround me
all the ties that once have bound me
dear sweet justice at last you've found me

you're there where there is no pain
at least that's what they say on this side
you're there and careless, free of shame
death come take me for your bride

leave me not here in this land
where fairy tales are often told
let me please grab onto your hand
let me lie here enveloped in your cold

wrap your cloak tightly around me
let the darkness hungrily surround me
all the ties that once have bound me
dear sweet justice at last you've found me
