    entombed in silence
    a child bleeds alone
he'll kill Mommy if i tell
    can you hear me now?

    swallowed by darkness
a young woman chokes on her truth
he'll destroy this sacred place too
    can you hear me now?

    silver shards of justice
    run through the woman's veins
    as she lies there crying
    can you hear me now?

    how about now?

    i wake each night
    cowering in fear
of ghosts that live in my mind
he was real, he was here again
    can you hear me now?

my soul was jaded the moment i was born
so as i stand before you
my opened arteries scream one last time
    can
    you
    hear
    me
    now?
