    Time Passage

    Feeling like the night watchman

Hearing you breath as you are lying
    There comfortably in my arms
    Protecting you like the lighthouse
    As you're sleeping soundly
Like the beacon of light giving
Hope that they'll be a new day

    Was it my voice
Which rocked you off to sleep
    Or my inner strength

No call nor need foran alarm

    My calming voice
    As dark of night changes
    To the light of dawn

    Knowing I'll be there
    As you awake

    The night watchman
With a smile upon my face

    Always like clockwork

Hearing the words I love you

As we welcome our new day

There's nothing more comforting than the warm comfort of a hug. I hear it being given here.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
