    To all of us

You meant so much to all of us.

You were special and thats no lie.

You brightened up the darkest day,and the cloudiest sky.

    Your smile alone warmed hearts.

Your laugh wass music to my ears.

I would give anything to have you here standing near.

Not a second goes when your not on our minds.

Your love we will never forget.

The hurt will ease in time.

Many tears I have cried and seen.

They have all poured out like rain.

I know that you are happy now and no longer in pain.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
