To the One I Don't Know

    Here you are,
    on my mind again.
I don't know who you are,
    but here you come again.

    I think about you often,
    only asking myself why.
I wonder what you are thinking,
    still asking myself why.

Why do I think of you,
when I have someone at home?
Why do you stay on my mind,
when I thought I found the one ?

    I want to know you
    and what you like.
    To afraid to ask,
in fear that I might like you more.

    Why are you here,
    in my mind?
    Why are you here,
    in my thoughts and dreams?
    I like you there,
    but I am confused.
    I do not know you,
but would very much like to.

    We live miles apart
    yet still my heart
    wants to wander
    to where your at.

    Why me?
    Always confused,
    and nowhere to run.
    Why must I like someone,
    that I will never know.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
