    Trippin'

The wheel of life continues to turn,

but does anybody notice the rain forest burn?

    The Mother is in pain.

    Her children are killing her;

    they're driving her insane.

Her wounds she tries to heal,

but the mushroom virus makes her skin peel.

Her illness you refuse to see.

You're too busy trippin' on me.

You kill us for our children.

You kill us for our creed.

    You kill our sexuality,

    with your demonic seed.

Leaders can't talk it out --

    they must war.

They are a thorn in my side --

    a painful sore.

I know now why we can never be free.

You're too busy trippin' on me.

Well said! Taking out the splinter in your brothers eye and ignoring the beam in your own...

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
