Should not solely guide your wandering mind
Experience life through your own adventures
For when you don’t search, you’re unable to find!
“Believe what I say, and pray to my God
Conform your life to how I live mine
See through my eyes and hear what I’m hearing
Restrict yourself from speaking your mind!”
This all sounds absurd…a dictatorship
Yet we’re living with it, day in and day out
Brainwashed and empty and ruled by oppression
Obeying their laws without any doubt
You fear a change and avoid confrontation
You think that you’re safe in the walls of this box
But step outside of your nurtured existence
Take off the blindfold and break all the locks
There’s no magic pill that cures all your ailings
And life isn’t perfect, but take it in stirde
Stop for a moment to watch life surround you
Appreciate others and look past your pride
Negative thoughts are invading our thinking
Spreading like cancer and taking control
Be blunt and sincere to yourself and to others
Don’t settle for less, and don’t sell your soul
So what if they stare while pointing their fingers
You will no longer care, for you’ll finally know
They’re all in the dark still and your iridescent
No longer is living your life just for show…
