    You're a robot, I'm a mermaid
    There exists no common ground
We've no place to live together
So no future can be found
You're asleep and I am dancing
I am floating in the sky
    You are grounded and conforming
To a life that is a lie
You complain while I am singing
And my music, you can't hear
When I search your soul for passion
All I stumble on is fear
You are dead and I'm still living
    Our emotions don't relate
And although my heart still needs you
I cannot say no to fate
You regret and I move forward
    I can't love you if you don't
I must leave now, I am sorry
    I can't stay here, and I won't

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
