"Immunity"

The meaning of true passion for writing is
simply when you can return to a place,
where vivid memories and placid visions
were once created, and whether anger is or
is not residing in the corners of its heart,
should not dull the ardor for a new voyage.
The challenging idea of it all, is to oversee
the dust on the severed writings dwelling
in forgotten journals and attest that there is
life even in the midst of closed chapters. Writers
not only dream by night, for it is by day they
give birth to madness, and though I have been
rudderless for many months, lost  in oceans,
where the waves are fierce and the days are
sunless, I have managed to  grasp a glimpse
upon the verge of annihilation of this place
that was left filled with knowledge, secrets
and profound intellect from distinct poets;
whose ideas were freely shared with readers,
critics and faithful members of the society of
boredom.  I pen these words with great warmth
of feeling, as I feel rewarded to have given an
opportunity to remain a single microorganism
of immunity, attempting to cure the incurable.
Therefore, what I shall write, believe, doubt, and
to what I may relate, should not prompt any
writer to retire their pen...As it has been repeatedly
said:  Earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust.

I really miss your writing. Any chance that you've been filling some lucky spiral notebook all this time? We can only hope. ;)

Erika, nice way of looking at things. I, too, would not anyone to retire their pen for I only comment on the poems that I see have much promise.
