    Waiting For A Sign

you think you know, you have no clue
trying your best to start a new
    staying positive, keeping a smile
it might work, but only for a while
the negativity all around, staying positive will soon drown
the bad over comes the good, it always has
the life i lead is now sad
fighting a losing battle, i try so hard
my efforts are in vein, i lower my head to accept the pain
i barely feel it anymore, numb all over, numb to the core
what to do, what to say, nothing can fix it....
i dont want to give up, i want to succeed
give me a sign, i beg on my knees
show me the way, the right path to take
    help me through this please
i dont know how much more i can take
maybe i care too much, maybe my love’s not enough
but its all i know, i cant be no other way but me
i love with all my heart, i care with all my soul
being positive is all i had, the darkness still found a way
to get though to me...i sit curled up in a corner in the dark
    waiting.............for a sign

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
