    Because Of You

im sitting here in the silence, the silence of the night
thinking to myself, what am i doing and is it right

i've come this far, i've done so much
do i give up just when it gets tough

no i wont, no not at all
i'll get back up everytime i fall

i wont give up, i'll keep on trying
achieving my dreams is worth all the fighting

i will go on, i will succeed
all my own, no help i'll need

i can do this, i'll make it through
this i know because of you

you taught me how to believe
and i can do it, its just up to me

you showed me i was worth much more
than i was ever told before

so now for all that i succeed
i thank you, cause' you believed

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
