A Friend to me,

has been difficult to see.

Concidering all of those who,

claimed to be a friend,

however their intentions were not true.

Their claims were only,

to gain what they could from me,

taking complete advantage of what

I was offering.

Leaving me wounded, and guarded.

Eventually unwilling to take the risk,

of offering my friendship to anyone at all.

That is however,

until

I met her...

A person whom like me,

had been wounded and left guarded...

But once we were together,

we found inevidably someone,

worth taking a chance on.

What I had finally been given;

was a friend...

A friend in the truest form...

Like I had never endured before.

A friend who would drop everything,

and come to me in my time of need.

A friend who listened,

replying with utter honesty.

Who I could listen too,

also replying honestly.

Someone to talk to finally...

God has blessed me;

with a friend.

Someone who I would do anything for.

Knowing she would do anything for me...

We are friends that will not drift apart,

even with miles between us,

She is truly a part of my heart.

Nothing can tear a friendship of this

magnitude apart.

I will forever cherish her,

for helping me see...

What friendship can really be...
