You look at me and see a reflection of an image
An image based on assumption
Assumption based on stereotype
A stereotype based on insecurities
I look at you and see a person
A person with a unique life
A life with a complicated past
A past with a promising future
We look at each other
You judge I wonder

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
