When You Look Into My Eyes . . .
When You Look Into My Eyes . . .Take a look in my eyes tell me what you see . . .
Do you see my struggles when you're looking at me
Do you see my pain
Do you see the agony
Can you see my thoughts even though they aren't clear like a morning's mist
Or do you a perfect life
Such a beautiful bliss
Do you see the Hub City
Which means i'm from Compton
Or do you see the suburbs from the time i spent in Upland
Can you see my intelligence as a young black male
Or do you figure i have none, and imma end up in jail
If you're a female, when you look at me do you see a player
Well, i put my controllers up because i'm tired of being a gamer
If you're a male most likely you're a hater
When you look into my eyes, do you see the lies
I bet you don't and i'm not even wearing a disguise
I guess the world will never see the truth
Until they take a look at my life and see what i see . . .
