    • I don't write in structure. I don't write often. I write when and how I feel.

    Yesterday

Yesterday I saw you and instead of love and butterflies I felt shame and hate.
You used to fill me with so much warmth I wanted to shout.
With all you've done I feel lost and alone.
    I do not cry anymore.
I do still earn. I wish for yesterdays yesterday to wisk me away.'
I want a simpler time when my heart was free.
You weighed it down with lies and hate.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
