    You and Me

    I never thought we could be together
    then you asked to dance at the first dance.
    I thought you didn't like me because
    the person who said that was Lance.

    Hunter, your dirty-blond hair gets me hypnotized,
    I knew there was hope for us.
    What now, Lance?
    Hunter and I will sit next to each other on the bus.

    Your light blue eyes are like a never-ending sea,
    I love that about you.
    All I can say is I love us!
    But, I mostly love you.

    How can we be together?
    How can we be?
    I have never thought that this could be real.
    I can now see my future, you and me.

    It's so childish and naive but it perfectly captures the feeling; and that is what poetry aims to acomplish. Well done!
