The tricks you tried yesterday you tried again this morning
    I am so not amused
The things you said yesterday you said again this morning
    I once again refused

You should have stayed inside your winter palace
Not put your tempered morning on display
For you this is the aftermath of warning
Once given I will never give again
Whatever happens once will happen over
You will always face the same unpleasantness
You will never find that secret four leaf clover
Or see the rainbow's gold under your steps

For I am the laughing brook    I am the fountain
I am the running stream        At the end of the day
I am the night                      And I am the morning
I will be in your work            I will be in your play

I take you nowhere              I give you nothing
I am not your dream world    I am not your pawn
Your kings and your queens   Will try to destroy me
But I will never leave you      Until I am done

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
