    Poem Commentary

Life is not only misery-it is a virtual means to be. So be noone bad gets the control.

    Song 1

The gates that people share as they rise up in the air
Will never get a piece of what's inside of me

I set out from my room to walk the streets of rock and bone
Never wanting any more of their silences

So make me a fountain filled with high spirits
    Make me a firefly
Give me a love that lasts more than a minute

But we all go down--Under the water
Along with the town that is crying
Never more to explore anothers life living
    Sitting with stangers and talking

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
