    Poem Commentary

Things people say can still hurt.

    70 to Life

A sentence can be without much thought
a phrase turned on it's head
    such passion pleading pouring out
it's where you made your bed
    now sleep you fool
    while spinning earth
    revolves around the sun
    the damage spoke
    from careless tongue
    makes wasted words no fun
    cruelty from the mouth
    bruises ego sure
    the pain of losing
    once again
    makes you so insecure

I have re-visited this poem, and for some reason like it even more than before. Please excuse my earlier grumbling.

Awesome! I like this writing! So very easy to relate to!

This was a very fresh wound I had suffered so it was catharctic to get it down.

Poetry is what gets lost in translation.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
