    Needless Tears

    When inside myself I look
Much different than an open book
where words express a thoughtful scene
the words in me are painful screams
    unlike a placid, crystal lake
my thoughts are snarled, full of ache
    Expression haunts me
    when I speak
    the meaning lost
    from skills so weak
    relationships begin to crumble
frustration trips me so I stumble
with heavy soul from desperate fears
so needless now my falling tears

This is a wonderful poem. It drew me in from the very beginning. I think that almost anyone could really relate with this. Very well put!

I would be a millionaire right now if I could count all my tears and your tears of life. Often and sadly it is a shame that i have cried practically all of my life but it brings so much strength and healing afterwards. Wonderful poem and it is such a reality. http://alejabennett.net84.net

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
