    A Dove's Love Song

    Can't you see?
    It is me,
    Perched here in this tree,
    Inside of this aviary,
    Pouring my heart out
    In my passion for you.
    I am the one,
Who has inspired the blues singer
    with his song.
For those who aspire to my secret,
    It is through suffering
    That I learned my melody,
    Trilling this tune,
    of my separation from you.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
