    Dawn

    Dawn

    Begins a new day.
Hope arrives on wings in flight,
    Chasing the shadows away.
It breaks the chill of winter’s lonely night,
    With its illuminating ray.

    The witching hour’s spell ends.
The tears of broken hearts mend,
As new life stirs within the womb,
    Of the nocturnal tomb.

The fear of death and Loneliness released.
The sun’s magic in the air,
    Puts mind to ease,
Releases the clutch of winters lair,
    Giving a sense of peace.

The wane of winter moon’s silver iciness,
Begins with spring sun’s golden caress.
    New blossoms start to grow,
From the moisture of the melted snow.

    Silence is broken
    With the arrival of spring.
    Love has spoken,
    In the hymns that birds sing;
    To those that have awoken.

With the rise of the sun,
    New life has begun.
    The sun and earths embrace,
    Is a redeeming grace.
