    Lost

    Lost,
    Outside in cold, dark night,
    His life merely a hoax.
    Alone in his plight.
    no reason for hope.

    Lost,
    In love’s dark absence,
    Heart broken and frozen.
    Within the cold, still loneliness,
A voice calls from the wilderness.

    Lost,
    He begins to hear,
    With his inner ear,
    A voice is calling.
    He yearns for its meaning.

    Lost,
    without and within,
    a melody in the wind.
    Humming a hymn so profound,
    That it captivates him.

    Lost,
    Inside the dream,
    A sound so sublime,
    Flows through the stream,
    Of heart and mind.

    Lost,
    Within his contemplation,
In the now of the presence,
    Was it merely his imagination?
    Or transcending inspiration?

    Lost,
Inside the turning of this tune,
    From love’s guiding hand.
    Starting to reel and swoon,
    He begins to understand.
